Hornsey Lane Estate Management Board would like to welcome you to Hornsey Lane Estate.
Hornsey Lane Estate was built in the 1930’s and is based in the Borough of
Islington, North London. During the course of the 1970’s the Tenants on Estate fought for and campaigned for improvements to be made on the estate, and between 1981- 1988 these improvements radically altered both the dwellings and the external areas around the blocks. The estate comprises of 13 blocks with a total of 173 homes.
Hornsey Lane Estate Management Association is an independent organisation, involving partnership between the Council and the residents (Tenants & Leaseholders) of the estate and is governed by a Management Agreement, which is a legal contract, which sets out the respective responsibilities of the Estate Management Board (Elected Committee) and the Council. The Estate Management Board took over the responsibility for many of the housing management functions from the Council in September 1991.
